The 2022 is our inaugural release of our new second label, “State Street” Chardonnay. As with our 2021 State Street Syrah, this is our inaugural release of Chardonnay under our “State Street” banner. This Chardonnay was created using choice lots of Chard from sites in the Monterey and Edna Valley appellations, expanding on our base of vineyards in Santa Barbara County. On the nose, classic notes of pear and apple, with notions of apple pie and a touch of citrus. This is a Chardonnay with both crisp acidity and great body, with the oak element in the background, letting the pure flavors of ripe pear and sweet apple show through, enhanced with elements of baking spices, vanilla and notes of toasty oak.
